Physiotherapy Treatments


Manual Therapy; utilising a ‘hands on’ approach mobilising joints and soft tissue to assess and treat a patients condition by reducing pain and restoring normal movement.

Acupuncture; use of fine sterile needles inserted into the skin at specific points to treat pain, delayed healing and tissue dysfunction

Exercise therapy; exercise prescription aimed at rehabilitating correct movement patterns and returning clients to their normal activities post injury. Exercise may include stretching, strengthening, altering postures, core and pelvic stability exercises and gym ball rehabilitation

Soft tissue massage for promoting healing, pain relief and relaxation

Electrotherapy; using TENS and Ultrasound to reduce pain and promote healing

Tapping; For supporting injured tissues and for position awareness

Ergonomic Ax and correction; Working with a patient to maximise the ergonomic appropriateness of both their work, home and leisure pursuits.

Lifestyle advice; often useful in repetitive use injuries or long term conditions

Visual Feedback; working with the patient to improve both posture and biomechanics to rehabilitate post injury and to prevent future injury utilising photographed, filmed and mirrored performance

Posture Assessment and correction guidance; utilising visual feedback technology and observation for breaking old habits in the way you hold yourself in stillness and during movement to aid rehabilitation of an injury and prevention of reccurance

Foot Biomechanical Ax and correction guidance; Foot biomechanical Assessment is often used in improving conditions such as lower back pain, hip and knee pain and foot and ankle pain.

Wiihab; to improve balance and postural awareness as well as rehabilitate sporting activities

Sport injury rehabilitation; varied physiotherapy treatments aimed and progressed toward return to full participation and optimum performance

Core and pelvic stability retraining; Nicola uses a similar approach to pilates and Alexander technique working 1:1 with the patient to ensure posture and control corrections are targeted at the specific and unique needs of every patient and are progressed appropriately.
